近年来,以哈佛大学丹穆若什为代表的诸多学者重新阐释世界文学,并逐渐形成一种新的思潮——世界文学史新建构主义。一方面对歌德提出的传统世界文学观进行反思、检视和批判,另一方面又试图打破西方中心主义结构版图,重构全球化、差异化、多元化的世界文学体系,诸如莫莱蒂"远程阅读"、斯皮瓦克"星球文学"等等。中国学者提出的比较文学变异学,由于在"跨文明""异质性""变异性"等基本理念上与世界文学新建构思潮异曲同工,继而引起国际学界的高度共鸣,从"独唱"变为"合唱",比较文学中国话语逐渐得到更多世界认同。
