近年来,国外应用语言学研究越来越多地认识到英语元形态学知识及其心理学体现过程在英语第二语言习得过程中的重要,但遗憾的是目前国内在这方面的研究还比较少。本文在对国外最新研究文献进行综述的基础上,探讨了在教学实践中运用现有研究结论促进中国学习者英语元形态学知识的方法,分析了本领域进一步研究的可能性,对国内英语第二语言元形态学知识研究起到抛砖引玉的作用。
